Participants on the Labour Relations Agency course need to commit two hours per week
Participants will be required to commit two hours per week for the webinars and discussion and to apply their learning through a case study assessment.
People can find out more information and register for the LRA Certificate in Line Management Practice here by 11 December 2020.
The Labour Relations Agency programme will commence on 18 January 2021.
Employment Relations Manager at the Labour Relations Agency, Patrick McAuley, encouraged line managers across Northern Ireland to apply for the programme.
“This is our third year running the Certificate and we have converted it into an online offering due to the pandemic,” he says.
“However, this will also allow participants much more flexibility in meeting the requirements of the programme, as they can view the webinars at a time that best suits their schedule and other commitments.
Live Q&A sessions twice a week
Patrick continues, “We will also have live question and answer sessions twice a week and separate virtual breakout rooms to examine some case studies as part of the course.
“These are extremely challenging times for employers and workers in Northern Ireland, so there’s no better time for line managers to complete this programme and boost their confidence and skills in handling a wide variety of performance and employment relations issues.
COVID-19 examples included in the Labour Relations Agency course
“We will build in guidance and examples relating to Covid-19 and the impact it has had on Northern Ireland’s employers and employees, so I encourage anyone interested to get your application in.
“We are really looking forward to meeting and supporting our 2021 cohort,” adds Patrick.
The Labour Relations Agency also offers advisory and dispute resolution services which are free of charge, impartial and confidential.
